Pageant
Experience:
While our program places an emphasis on excellence, achievement,
and personal growth, we also strive to make the pageant experience
FUN! The pageant is a three day event, and will be held August
3-5, 2011.
Here
are just some of the highlights that will take place.
On
the first day, it's fun, fun, and more fun! The contestants
enjoy meeting with city officials and other VIPs, as
well as take time getting to know the pageant staff and
other
contestants.
You will enjoy a fashion photo shoot and meet our choreographer
and show producer. You will begin rehearsals for the
first of three fabulous shows. Tonight is the parade
of National
Costumes.
The
second day starts off with more rehearsals. Later that
afternoon, each contestant has the opportunity
to
meet
individually with each judge for a four minute interview.
Each contestant
has the opportunity to convince the judges she is right
for the job of MISS TEEN ALL AMERICAN or YOUNG TEEN
ALL AMERICAN.
The second show of the event is the Presentation Show.
During the Presentation Show, each contestant is presented
to the
judges in the preliminary swimwear and gown competitions.
Following the Presentation Show our contestants are
able to relax and
close out the night at our Philly Party!
You
guessed it; the third day begins with the final rehearsal.
Tonight
is the final competition. At the
end of the final
show, we will have a new MISS TEEN ALL AMERICAN and
YOUNG TEEN ALL
AMERICAN.
Pageant
Competition:
Each Contestant will compete in three equal phases
of preliminary competition: swimwear, gown, and
interview. The mentions
from the preliminary phases of competition are
added up, and the
contestants with the highest composite mentions
become semifinalists. The number of semifinalists will
be
determined
by the total
number of contestants in the competition.
Scoring is based on the following:
Gown:
each contestant is evaluated on grace, poise, style,
stage presence, the
confidence with which
she carries
herself, and overall-impression.
Swimwear:
each contestant is evaluated on her physical
fitness, stage-presence,
and overall impression.
Interview:
preliminary interviews are personal one-on-one
style. You will have four minute
interviews with
each of the five
judges. It’s very comfortable
and conversational. Contestants are
scored on their communication
skills, and personality.
They are NOT scored on their opinions
or personal beliefs.
Once
the semifinalists are announced during
the final show, they will again compete
in swimsuit,
gown and
interview. These three phases of competition
will narrow the field
to a group
of finalists.
The
finalists will than make their final ranking based on
their overall impression
of each finalists.
The
judges will select
a winner, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up,
3rd runner-up, and 4th runner-up for
MISS TEEN
